Stewart Howison, Founder and Race Director of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, mentioned how he has seen the city evolve as one of the best cities for cycling in a short time. He praised Dubai for embracing the sport and providing dedicated cycle tracks that take riders from the city to remote parts of the desert.
Howison highlighted the significant developments made for cyclists in Dubai over the years and lauded the future plans of the Dubai government and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for further improvements. He expressed his personal preference for the Al Qudra Cycle Track, describing the serene experience of cycling through the desert and witnessing the sunrise over the golden dunes.
Wolfi Hohmann, owner of Wolfi’s and a resident of Dubai for 22 years, shared his enthusiasm for the city’s cycling infrastructure, mentioning Meydan and Al Qudra Cycling Tracks as his favorites. He applauded the efforts of the Dubai government and authorities in enhancing facilities for cycling enthusiasts and emphasized the importance of connectivity between tracks for a seamless experience.
Anurag Chaturvedi, CEO of Andersen Tax Limited, described Dubai as one of the finest places to ride in the Middle East, with an abundance of fantastic cycling tracks. He commended the safety measures in Dubai for cyclists and racing enthusiasts and mentioned his favorite tracks for weekly and weekend rides. Chaturvedi suggested creating dedicated lanes across residential communities to promote cycling as a sport.
Rohit Garg, CFO of Al Habtoor Group, praised Dubai for setting the standard for safety and providing world-class amenities for cyclists. He rated Dubai as a top-tier city for cycling and mentioned the Al Qudra Cycling Track as his favorite. Garg acknowledged the authorities for their efforts in enhancing the cycling experience in the city, highlighting the recent maintenance of lighting units across various cycling tracks by the RTA.
