The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of the registration process for marks verification, obtaining photocopies of answer books, and re-evaluation of Class 12 and Class X results. The results for both classes were declared on May 13, and students can now raise concerns about any discrepancies in their marks or request a re-evaluation of their answer scripts. This facility is available on the official CBSE website cbse.gov.in, and the deadline for applications varies for each class – May 17 to 21 for Class 12 and May 20 to 24 for Class X.
The entire application process must be completed online, and only one application per student is allowed. Additionally, students are required to pay processing charges for each step they choose to undertake. It is important to note that applying for a photocopy of the answer sheet is only permissible after the verification of marks has been completed. Once the photocopy has been received, students can then opt for re-evaluation. These three steps provide students with the opportunity to challenge and verify their marks in a systematic manner.
For Class 12 students, the important dates are as follows: marks verification from May 17 to 21, obtaining photocopies of the answer sheets from June 1 to 2, and reevaluation of answers from June 6 to 7. For Class 10 students, the corresponding dates are: marks verification from May 20 to 24, obtaining photocopies of the answer sheets from June 4 to 5, and reevaluation of answers from June 9 to 10. The fees for each step vary, with verification costing Rs 500 per subject, obtaining a photocopy at Rs 700 per answer sheet, and re-evaluation at Rs 100 per question.
NRI students must remit the fees in Indian rupees to the CBSE’s account. To apply for these processes, students need to visit the CBSE website and navigate to the ‘Examination/Student’ section, where they can select the ‘Apply for re-evaluation’ option. After filling out the application form and submitting it, the required amount can be paid online, and the document can be downloaded for future reference. The outcome of the verification of marks and re-evaluation will be communicated through the same login account where the application was submitted, and the results will also be uploaded for transparency.
The CBSE ensures that the re-evaluation process is final, and no further appeals or reviews will be entertained. It is essential for students to follow the prescribed steps diligently to ensure their marks are accurately reflected. The availability of these facilities ensures that students have a fair chance to address any concerns they may have regarding their examination results and ensures transparency in the assessment process.
