The top high school students are considering careers in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, space engineering, and medical science. This shift in focus highlights the growing interest in cutting-edge technologies and emerging fields among young individuals in the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, extended his congratulations to the high-achieving students on social media. Among the top students was Ward Mahmoud, a Palestinian student from the UAE, who topped his class in the general stream for private education. Ward is planning to further his education in AI or data science at Khalifa University, showcasing a strong interest in technological advancements.
Alyazia Al Shamsi, who excelled in the general stream at the Applied Technology High School for Girls, aims to pursue studies in space engineering. Inspired by the UAE’s successes in space exploration, Alyazia emphasized the importance of time management and family support in achieving her aspirations. Nada Al Maazmi, the best student in the advanced stream at the Applied Technology High School in Ajman, is determined to study cybersecurity engineering at the American University of Sharjah, driven by a sense of duty towards her country.
Meanwhile, other students are inclined towards the field of medical sciences. Abdalla Mekhimar, the top student at Ras Al Khaimah Boys’ School in the advanced stream of the government education sector, aspires to study medicine to make a positive contribution to humanity. Waleed Alasadi, who secured the top position in the advanced stream for private education, aims to pursue a medical degree at UAE University to serve his community effectively.
In addition, Mayed Al Hmoudi from Fujairah, who led in the advanced science stream, also plans to pursue medical studies at UAE University. These students’ diverse career aspirations reflect a growing trend towards specialized fields and a sense of responsibility towards society and the nation. As the UAE continues to focus on innovation and technological advancement, these students are well-poised to contribute to the country’s progress in various sectors.
