Sharjah, one of the emirates in the United Arab Emirates, is preparing to launch the country’s first Holy Quran TV channel on August 16. This new channel will feature fresh and exclusive recitations of verses from the Holy Quran, providing viewers with 24/7 access to listen and watch these recitations. The channel will also broadcast daily khatmah recitations by well-known reciters, which refer to reciting the holy book from start to end. In addition to recitations, the channel will offer short educational programs that aim to simplify religious concepts for a wider audience and enhance the correct understanding of the Holy Quran.

The initiative to launch the Holy Quran TV channel is part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s efforts to create specialized platforms that cater to the cultural and religious needs of the community. Under the directive of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, this project aims to spread the teachings of the Holy Quran and provide a platform for purposeful and inspiring religious content. The support from Sheikh Dr. Sultan highlights the importance of this channel for the emirate and reflects his keen interest in promoting religious education through modern media platforms.

According to Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, director of the SBA, the launch of the Holy Quran channel aligns with the Sharjah Ruler’s vision to create a media platform that specializes in producing meaningful religious content. The goal is to make the interpretations of the Holy Quran more accessible and relevant to today’s generation while also preserving the traditional recitations and teachings of the holy book. By establishing this channel, Sharjah aims to set a high standard for religious media outlets in the UAE and the Islamic world, demonstrating its commitment to promoting religious education and understanding.

Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, the director of the Holy Quran Channel and Radio, emphasizes that this platform will focus on providing specialized religious content that includes khatmah recitations and Quranic sciences programs. The channel’s slogan, ‘Be with God and you will see God with you,’ reflects the SBA’s dedication to purposeful media that aims to inspire and educate viewers on religious matters. The launch of the Holy Quran channel marks a new milestone in Sharjah’s efforts to enhance religious education and promote the teachings of the Holy Quran through modern and innovative media platforms.

As the first Holy Quran TV channel in the UAE, this initiative is a significant step towards promoting religious education and understanding among the community. With a focus on providing fresh and exclusive recitations, daily khatmah broadcasts, and educational programs, the channel aims to engage viewers of all ages and backgrounds in learning and appreciating the teachings of the Holy Quran. By leveraging modern media technologies and platforms, Sharjah is leading the way in creating purposeful and inspiring religious content that resonates with the evolving needs of today’s generation while preserving the traditional teachings and recitations of the holy book.
