The weather in UAE on Monday, June 17, is expected to be fair and partly cloudy at times, with a chance of rain in the afternoon due to convective clouds forming in the eastern and southern areas, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Some rains were recorded in other parts of the country on June 16, and while there may be more rain today, it is likely to be humid by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal areas. Internal areas are expected to have a maximum temperature of 48ºC, with temperatures dropping to 21ºC in the mountains. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures are forecasted to reach up to 47ºC and 44ºC respectively. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, will blow across the country, causing dust and sand during the daytime. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

To stay up to date with the latest news and updates on the weather in the UAE, follow KT on WhatsApp Channels. It is important to keep track of the changing weather conditions, especially during the summer months when temperatures can reach extreme levels. It is advisable to take necessary precautions to stay safe and avoid any weather-related risks. In case of rain, be aware of potential flooding, and if you are heading outdoors, protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated. In addition, be cautious of strong winds that may cause disruptions to outdoor activities.

The extreme temperatures in the UAE during the summer months can pose health risks if proper precautions are not taken. Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day, usually between 10 am and 4 pm, to avoid heat exhaustion or heatstroke. If you must be outdoors, wear light and loose-fitting clothing, use sunscreen, and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Be mindful of symptoms of heat-related illnesses, such as dizziness, nausea, or headaches, and seek medical attention if necessary. With temperatures soaring, it is important to prioritize your health and well-being.

In addition to the high temperatures, the UAE also experiences periodic dust and sand storms, particularly during the summer months. These can reduce visibility on the roads and pose a risk to drivers. If you are driving during a dust or sandstorm, reduce your speed, use headlights, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles. Pull over to the side of the road if visibility becomes too low to continue driving safely. It is essential to stay updated on weather forecasts and warnings to avoid getting caught in hazardous conditions while on the road.

As the weather in the UAE can change rapidly, it is crucial to stay informed about any developments that may impact your daily activities. Following reliable sources of weather updates and alerts, such as the National Center of Meteorology, can help you prepare for any potential changes in the weather. By staying informed and taking necessary precautions, you can ensure your safety and well-being during extreme weather conditions in the UAE. Remember to stay hydrated, protect yourself from the sun, and be cautious of any weather-related risks while enjoying the beautiful sights and experiences that the UAE has to offer.
