Ras Al Khaimah Police has introduced a new initiative to streamline the process of obtaining a driving license for national service recruits. The ‘one-day test’ program aims to save time and effort by allowing soldiers to complete all necessary tests in a single day. This initiative is scheduled to run from July to December 2024, allowing recruits to complete eye tests, internal and external practical testing in one day. The Director of the Department of Machinery and Drivers Licensing, Colonel Saqir bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, highlighted the benefits of this program and urged soldiers to take advantage of it through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) app.

The driving test initiative was previously launched in Fujairah and Sharjah, and has now expanded to Ras Al Khaimah. In Fujairah, only high school graduates are eligible to benefit from the program. In Sharjah, a total of 194 trainees, both male and female, benefited from the ‘One-Day Test’ Initiative within a span of two weeks. By integrating theory, internal and external (on-road) tests into a single day and successfully passing the required examinations and tests, individuals can obtain a driving license in just one day. This initiative aims to make the process more efficient and convenient for national service recruits.

This initiative is part of efforts to modernize and expedite the process of obtaining a driving license. By completing all necessary tests in a single day, soldiers can save time and effort that would otherwise be spent on multiple days of testing. Through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) app, the necessary steps and guidelines for taking advantage of this initiative are outlined. This program is a step towards making essential services more accessible and efficient for individuals serving in the national service.

The announcement of the ‘one-day test’ initiative in Ras Al Khaimah comes as part of a nationwide effort to improve and streamline services for individuals looking to obtain a driving license. By offering a fast-tracked procedure to national service recruits, the emirate is showing a commitment to supporting its citizens and providing them with streamlined services. The successful implementation of this initiative in Fujairah and Sharjah has paved the way for its expansion to Ras Al Khaimah, showcasing the positive impact it has had on individuals seeking to obtain their driving license.

As the program progresses, more national service recruits are expected to take advantage of the one-day test initiative in Ras Al Khaimah. By completing all necessary tests in a single day, recruits can expedite the process of obtaining a driving license and focus their time and energy on other aspects of their service. The success of this initiative in other emirates indicates a positive response from participants and authorities, highlighting the benefits of modernizing and streamlining essential services such as obtaining a driving license. Overall, the ‘one-day test’ initiative in Ras Al Khaimah is a positive step towards making essential services more efficient and accessible for national service recruits.
