UAE-India travel: IndiGo introduces daily flights from Abu Dhabi to 2 major cities

Abu Dhabi International Airport recently announced new travel options to India. IndiGo, India’s budget airline, introduced daily flights to Chandigarh from the airport. Additionally, they announced daily flights to Kannur and the resumption of daily flights to Lucknow. The airline has added a total of 21 weekly flights at the airport, marking a 50% increase in their flights from Abu Dhabi.

With the launch of these new flights, the total number of destinations served from Abu Dhabi International Airport now exceeds 120. This expansion signifies a significant milestone in the commitment to partnership and the readiness to diversify the network of destinations. Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed the importance of IndiGo’s capacity increase and new routes in enhancing the airport’s network of destinations.

Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, believes that this strategic expansion will strengthen their presence in the UAE and provide business and leisure travelers with improved flight options. This collaboration aims to offer seamless connectivity across IndiGo’s network while supporting the growth of Abu Dhabi Airports. Both parties remain committed to expanding and diversifying their services to meet the needs of travelers.

The new flights offered by IndiGo at Abu Dhabi International Airport are part of their effort to expand their operations and cater to the increasing demand for travel options to India. With 63 weekly frequencies now available, passengers have more choices when flying to and from Abu Dhabi. This expansion not only benefits travelers but also contributes to the growth and development of Abu Dhabi as an important aviation hub in the region.

The partnership between IndiGo and Abu Dhabi Airports highlights the importance of collaboration in the aviation industry. By working together to enhance connectivity and offer new routes, both parties aim to provide a seamless travel experience for passengers. This expansion also signifies the growing demand for flights to and from Abu Dhabi, further establishing the airport as a key gateway for travelers in the region.

The addition of daily flights to Chandigarh, Kannur, and Lucknow from Abu Dhabi International Airport demonstrates the commitment of both IndiGo and Abu Dhabi Airports to meet the evolving needs of travelers.
