Aysha Ali Ahmed Al Mahri is a prominent Emirati healthcare professional with a remarkable career spanning 27 years. Starting as a nurse in 1997, Aysha progressed through various roles, specializing in critical care and pediatric health. Her determination to excel led her to pursue a nursing degree and a leadership certificate from McMaster University. Aysha attributes her success to the supportive community that encouraged her to strive for leadership positions within the field. After twelve years in nursing, Aysha expanded her focus beyond clinical aspects, delving into the overall operations and regulations of healthcare. She held leadership positions as the chief nursing officer at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). Aysha furthered her education, obtaining master’s degrees in healthcare management and health economics. In 2020, she received the HIMSS Change Maker Leadership Agent Award, becoming the first female Emirati from the Middle East to be honored.

Within a short period, she ascended to the role of deputy CEO at Burjeel Medical City. Aysha emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and skill development in healthcare. She balances her career with motherhood, proving that with dedication and belief in oneself, anything is possible.
