UAE: Companies in Ajman fined Dh20,000 for transporting landfill without permit

Two companies in Ajman were recently fined Dh10,000 each by the Ajman Municipality for transporting landfill without a permit. The municipality made the announcement on social media, stating that the companies were caught transporting landfill from various areas in the emirate without the necessary permits. As a result, three vehicles belonging to the companies were seized and confiscated as part of the penalty.

The companies were fined Dh10,000 each for repeatedly violating the rules and regulations regarding the transportation of landfill. According to Eng. Khaled Mueen Al Hosani, the acting director-general of the Department, the municipality is committed to raising awareness and promoting a positive culture about the proper use and management of landfill. He emphasized the importance of managing landfill in an organized manner to ensure its sustainability and preservation in all regions of the emirate.
