With the temperatures soaring in the UAE, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted more rainfall in the region, following some light rainfall in the southeastern part of Abu Dhabi. The weather bulletin from the NCM stated that low clouds would appear on the Eastern coast areas, with a possibility of convective clouds forming by afternoon and associated rainfall in some Eastern and Southern areas of the country on Monday.

The first day of Eid Al Adha recorded the highest temperatures of the year, reaching 49.4°C in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi. Weather experts suggest that the UAE may also experience increased rainfall and occasional hailstorms as the summer weather progresses. The UAE is transitioning into the ‘astronomical summer,’ marked by the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year when one of Earth’s poles tilts closest to the Sun.

Following the summer solstice on June 21, daylight gradually decreases, with shorter days as we progress through July and August. The UAE experiences the most intense summer phase from mid-July to the end of August, with soaring temperatures, high humidity levels, and the possibility of dust storms from the desert. These storms can bring strong winds and hot sand clouds across the city.

The official summer months in the UAE span from June to September, with the summer season astronomically ending on September 22. The much-anticipated Suhail star appears in the third week of August, signaling the end of peak summer heat and the country’s transition into autumn. This season brings relief from the intense summer weather and marks a shift towards milder temperatures.

As the UAE experiences the transition into the astronomical summer, it is important to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and developments. With the possibility of increased rainfall and hailstorms, it is essential to be prepared for any changes in the weather conditions. Following weather updates from reliable sources like the NCM can help individuals and communities stay informed and take necessary precautions during the summer months.

In conclusion, as the UAE enters the astronomical summer and prepares for the peak summer phase in mid-July, it is crucial to stay vigilant and prepared for any weather changes. With the potential for intense temperatures, humidity, and dust storms, residents should take necessary precautions to stay safe and comfortable during this time. By following weather updates and guidelines from experts, individuals can navigate the summer months smoothly and enjoy the transition into autumn when relief from the intense heat is on the horizon.
