The iPhone 16 is generating a great deal of excitement as pre-orders are set to open on Friday at 4pm. The anticipation for Apple’s latest release has taken over the internet, with social media platforms and classified apps in the UAE flooded with listings of the new device. Sellers are capitalizing on the high demand by offering the iPhone 16 at prices as much as Dh3,000 higher than the official retail cost, in an effort to appeal to eager buyers who want to be among the first to own the newest Apple device.

Among the most anticipated models is the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256GB of storage, with resellers listing it for as much as Dh8,000, compared to the official price of Dh5,099. Prices for this model are also seen around Dh6,500, reflecting a premium of nearly Dh1,500. Other models with different storage options, such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 512GB of storage, officially priced at Dh5,949, are listed for Dh8,000, with resellers adding a significant markup to each version of the Pro models, starting at Dh4,299.

The iPhone 16 Pro comes in four storage variants, with the most expensive 1TB model listed online for Dh8,000, well above the official price of Dh6,399. Pricing for these models is largely driven by demand, with sellers charging premiums based on the popularity of certain configurations. Some sellers are even offering discounts for bulk purchases, while others are creating a sense of urgency by claiming limited stock and urging buyers to act fast before availability runs out.

Khaleej Times reached out to one seller who explained the pricing strategy, stating that they are currently charging a premium of Dh1,800 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB. The seller also mentioned that prices could increase further if demand rises, and to secure the current price, buyers are asked to deposit Dh500, with the remaining amount payable upon delivery. With the official pre-order launch approaching, the demand for the iPhone 16 is only expected to increase, further driving up the prices on the secondary market.

In conclusion, the buzz surrounding the pre-orders for the iPhone 16 is at an all-time high, with sellers capitalizing on the demand by offering the new device at significantly higher prices than the official retail cost. The most anticipated models, such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256GB of storage, are being listed for as much as Dh8,000, compared to the official price of Dh5,099. With pricing largely driven by demand, sellers are adding significant markups on various storage options to meet the desires of eager buyers. Time will tell how the market for the iPhone 16 plays out, but for now, it seems that consumers are willing to pay a premium to be among the first to own Apple’s latest release.
