With summer holidays in full swing, families are gearing up to travel, but the stress of peak travel periods and airport rush can put a damper on the excitement. Dubai-based Emirates has flagged a significant peak travel period starting Saturday, July 6th, urging passengers to be prepared for increased traffic and crowds at the airport. During this peak period, customers departing Dubai with Emirates are advised to plan for extra time to navigate the airport and reach their boarding gates.

To ensure stress-free family travel during peak times, Emirates recommends adhering to specific timelines. Passengers should arrive at the airport three hours before departure, pass through immigration 1.5 hours before departure, and reach their correct boarding gate at least one hour before departure. By following these guidelines, families can navigate the airport smoothly and avoid any last-minute rush or delays.

For a seamless travel experience, passengers can take advantage of various services offered by Emirates. By checking in at home using the Emirates Home Check-In service, customers can avoid long queues at the airport and have their bags taken care of by agents. The service is complimentary for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members, providing added convenience and comfort to the travel experience.

Utilizing the Emirates app or website is another way to streamline the travel process. Passengers can book flights, download digital boarding passes, receive flight notifications, and even pre-select entertainment options for their journey. Additionally, passengers can check in online or via the app 48 hours before departure, ensuring a hassle-free airport experience.

To further expedite the check-in process, Emirates customers can drop off their luggage early at the airport. By dropping off bags the night before travel, passengers can save time and avoid the rush on the day of departure. Emirates also offers City Check-Ins at locations like DIFC and Ajman, providing a convenient alternative for passengers traveling from different parts of the city.

As an added bonus, Emirates passengers can enjoy a complimentary ice cream treat for the whole family until July 28th. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 12pm and 6pm, customers can visit Emirates’ ice cream carts at Terminal 3 and choose from a variety of flavors. By taking advantage of these services and tips, families can ensure a stress-free and enjoyable travel experience with Emirates this summer.
