A recent incident in Sharjah involved a four-year-old girl student who was forgotten in the school bus by the staff. The parents of the child shared their harrowing experience, emphasizing the importance of remaining vigilant and communicating with bus drivers and conductors. Thankfully, the girl survived the incident without any harm, but fell ill due to being trapped inside the bus for almost three hours. The mother highlighted the need for increased awareness and caution to prevent such mishaps in the future, urging other parents to take necessary precautions and ensure the safety of their children during transportation to school.

The girl had started attending kindergarten and would often fall asleep on the early morning bus trip for girls. Despite reminding the bus conductor about her daughter’s tendency to doze off, the mother was shocked to receive a call from the conductor informing her that the child had been left behind in the bus. The child’s parents rushed to the school upon learning about the incident, only to find that their daughter had not yet reached the classroom. The girl recounted hitting her head against the front seat and waking up to find herself surrounded by older students from the second trip, prompting her to cry for help.

The mother expressed concern about the potential dangers and risks involved in such negligence, citing previous cases where children suffocated to death after being left unattended in vehicles. The family decided to withdraw the child from the school and filed a complaint with the local authorities to address the issue. As a precautionary measure, the parents opted for online education instead of sending their daughter back to school, emphasizing the need for improved safety measures and accountability in school transportation services.

Reflecting on the traumatic experience, the mother highlighted the broken trust and sense of betrayal they felt as a result of the incident. The decision to keep the child at home this year was driven by the desire to protect her from any further harm and ensure her safety. The family expressed gratitude for the child’s survival and urged authorities to implement stricter guidelines and protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future. The mother’s message serves as a cautionary tale for parents and educational institutions to prioritize the safety and well-being of students during transportation, emphasizing the importance of communication and vigilance in ensuring a secure learning environment for children.
