Dubai is on a mission to create a world-leading, innovative education system by putting students at the heart of their priorities. The Dubai Social Agenda 33 aims to position the emirate as a premier global hub for living and education. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, approved a comprehensive strategy to transform Dubai’s education sector by 2033. The Education Strategy 2033 seeks to revolutionize the education system, ensuring high-quality education for all.

The new strategy is designed to empower Dubai to achieve its goals, enhance capacity building, and elevate the overall standard of education. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of fostering lifelong learning and equipping the next generation of national leaders with Emirati values. The government has instructed the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) to place students at the core of the new system, equipping them with skills to lead and shape the future. This future-focused education system encourages a continuous journey of creativity and growth for both teachers and learners.

Aligned with Dubai’s 2033 Plan, the Education Strategy 2033 prioritizes providing world-class education from early childhood to higher levels of learning. With a focus on lifelong learning, the strategy encourages active involvement from parents and the community. It aims to create a student-centric system that fosters talent, creativity, and equips learners with essential life skills. Additionally, it emphasizes early career guidance and offers diverse educational pathways, including internationally accredited vocational institutions, aligning with national priorities.

The plan was developed through extensive consultation with over 700 stakeholders, including educators, school principals, parents, and university leaders. This inclusive approach involved more than 50 sessions with 290 institutions to ensure a comprehensive and well-rounded strategy for the future of education in Dubai. The goal is to create an education system that can adapt to change, nurture national talents, and contribute to the growth and development of the nation.

Dubai’s vision for a world-leading education system is grounded in the values of quality education and dedicated zones for academic, university, and knowledge institutions. The focus is on building an education system that promotes lifelong learning and can adapt to the evolving needs of the future. By placing students at the heart of the new system, Dubai aims to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead and shape the future. The strategy emphasizes the importance of creating a system that empowers learners and educators to engage in a continuous journey of creativity and growth.

By prioritizing world-class education from early childhood to university levels, Dubai’s Education Strategy 2033 is aligned with the emirate’s social and economic agendas. The plan aims to provide students with essential life skills, talent development, and creativity, preparing them for the future. Through active involvement from parents, the community, and diverse educational pathways, Dubai seeks to ensure that UAE students remain competitive and have access to top universities globally. With a focus on equipping learners with the skills needed to lead and shape the future, the education system in Dubai is set to undergo a transformation that will benefit generations to come.
