The Dubai Frame, a popular tourist attraction in the city, is set to undergo a major makeover with the addition of a future of Dubai exhibition. This exhibition will showcase how the city will look 50 years from now, providing a unique and interactive experience for visitors. The announcement was made by Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, during the Arabian Travel Mart event.
The Dubai Frame, located in Zabeel Park, stands at 150 meters tall and offers panoramic views of the city’s landscape. One side of the frame showcases the history of Dubai, while the other side highlights its modern and glamorous present. The addition of the future of Dubai exhibition on the mezzanine floor will provide visitors with a glimpse into the emirate’s evolution from a small fishing village to a thriving commercial hub.
The renovation work on the Dubai Frame is expected to begin soon, with completion slated for the last quarter of next year. The exhibition will feature special audiovisual shows and effects, offering a new dimension to the attraction. Despite the ongoing renovation, most parts of the Dubai Frame will remain accessible to the public, with only a small section of the mezzanine floor being closed off during the construction period.
The Dubai Frame currently attracts over 1.6 million visitors annually, and the municipality anticipates a significant increase in footfall after the revamp is completed. The attraction features a state-of-the-art elevator that takes visitors to the top of the frame, where they can walk on a glass walkway connecting the two towers. The future exhibition will provide a futuristic perspective on Dubai’s development in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
