1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s largest gathering of content creators, has extended the deadline for submissions to its ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition until October 5, offering startups and entrepreneurs a platform to pitch their ideas for the content industry. Winners will receive funding and resources to propel their business ideas forward. The competition is a key highlight of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai from January 11 to 13, 2025, under the theme “Content for Good”.

To be eligible for the competition, applicants must have a registered business and be at least 18 years old. Aspiring startup founders and content creators can submit their ideas through the Summit’s official website. Applications will undergo evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, quality of the pitch, market potential, creativity, scalability, potential social and economic impact, and leadership capabilities.

Selected entrants will participate in a mentorship and development programme organised by the 1 Billion Followers Summit to refine their pitches. The competition during the Summit features three stages, with 25 applicants initially pitching their ideas, narrowing down to 10 for the second stage, and two finalists competing for first and second places in the final round, with the opportunity to win funding and partnerships.

The Summit aims to inspire a billion-strong audience and bring together leading content creators and social media pioneers to explore how new media can fuel national economies and advance sustainable development goals globally. The ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition at the 1 Billion Followers Summit offers startups and entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their groundbreaking ideas for the content industry to investors and international experts, providing access to financial support and resources. Aspiring startup founders and content creators are encouraged to submit their ideas for the competition through the Summit’s official website, following specific criteria such as innovation, feasibility, quality of the pitch, market potential, creativity, scalability, potential impact, and leadership capabilities. Selected entrants will receive mentorship and development through a specialised programme to enhance their chances of success.

The competition, with its three stages during the Summit, aims to narrow down from 25 initial applicants to two finalists competing for first and second places, presenting a chance to win funding and partnerships. The 1 Billion Followers Summit seeks to empower content creators and social media pioneers to explore the impact of new media on national economies and sustainable development goals, inspiring a global audience of a billion followers.
