The Chief of Saudi Naval Forces explores options to enhance naval cooperation with Omani officials

Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Gharibi recently embarked on an official visit to Oman, where he engaged in discussions with various senior Omani officials. One of the key meetings during his visit was with Major General Al Rahbi, the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman. The two leaders explored ways to strengthen the existing cooperation between their respective navies, while also touching upon various topics of mutual interest.

Al-Gharibi also had the opportunity to meet with Minister of the Royal Office Lieutenant General Sultan Al-Nu’mani during his visit. Their discussions revolved around the enhancement of cooperation between Oman and the visiting country, as well as engaging in friendly conversations and exchanging views on a range of common interests. This meeting further highlighted the commitment of both nations to foster stronger ties and collaboration in various fields.

During his visit, Al-Gharibi took the time to tour several Omani naval facilities, including the Maritime Security Centre, the Academy of Strategic and Defense Studies, Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy, and the Said bin Sultan Naval Base. He also had the chance to inspect one of the Royal Omani ships, showcasing the advanced capabilities and readiness of the Omani naval forces. These visits provided Al-Gharibi with valuable insights into the operations and capabilities of the Omani naval forces.

The official visit of Chief of Staff Al-Gharibi underscored the long-standing and robust relationship between Oman and the visiting country.
