Saudi Foreign Minister meets with his counterparts from Iran, Uzbekistan, and Chad in New York

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan recently met with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi in New York during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between their countries in various fields and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation to monitor the progress of their relations. They also reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was attended by key officials from both countries, including the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations and the Director General of the Office of the Foreign Minister.

In addition to the meeting with the Iranian counterpart, Prince Faisal also had discussions with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyar Saidov. They focused on reviewing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation across various fields. The importance of intensifying bilateral and multilateral coordination on issues of mutual interest was highlighted during their talks. This meeting signifies the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan and deepen their collaboration in the international arena.

Further showcasing Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic engagements, Prince Faisal met with Chad’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Chadians Abroad Abderaman Koulamallah. They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, reflecting the shared interest in addressing common challenges and promoting stability in their respective regions. These discussions demonstrate the Kingdom’s commitment to engaging with countries around the world to foster cooperation and address global challenges.

The meetings held by Prince Faisal during the UNGA 79 session underscore Saudi Arabia’s proactive approach to diplomatic relations and its commitment to strengthening partnerships with other nations. By engaging with counterparts from Iran, Uzbekistan, and Chad, the Kingdom is actively working to expand its network of allies and promote mutual understanding and collaboration. These interactions serve as a platform for discussing key issues of importance and finding common ground to address shared challenges.
