Saudi Aramco recently introduced Olfa Animal Care Company, a non-profit organization dedicated to sheltering stray animals, providing veterinary healthcare, and controlling their breeding. The mission of the company also includes raising awareness and offering services that support community efforts to treat animals with compassion in Saudi Arabia. This initiative aligns with Aramco’s commitment to social responsibility and aims to enhance community awareness and contribute to animal welfare in the Eastern Province and across the Kingdom.

Nabil Al-Jamea, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Saudi Aramco, emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting civilized behavior and aligning with the teachings of Islam. Olfa Animal Care Company has signed an agreement with the Eastern Province Municipality to collaborate on various aspects of animal care. The partnership will focus on stabilizing animal reproduction, improving communication and reporting of stray animals, and establishing care and rehabilitation centers to support animal welfare in the region.

The initiative will work towards developing solutions, raising awareness about the importance of animal welfare, and promoting a sense of responsibility in animal ownership. Olfa Animal Care Company also plans to provide a volunteer platform for those interested in contributing to animal care efforts. The first phase of the initiative will see the launch of mobile veterinary clinics in the Eastern Province, offering essential services such as examinations, vaccinations, and sterilization. The company also plans to open its first animal shelter in Dammam by 2025.
