The latest Cabinet session, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, saw the approval of a framework agreement for cooperation in air navigation and the exploration of airspace and outer space between Saudi Arabia and the United States. The session also focused on promoting peace and security in the region, with plans for a joint Arab-Islamic summit to address Israeli aggression. The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom’s hosting of the Global Alliance for Implementation of the Two-State Solution as a demonstration of its commitment to supporting an independent Palestinian state.

During the session, the Crown Prince shared updates on his meetings with leaders from friendly countries, emphasizing ways to enhance bilateral relations. The Cabinet commended the outcomes of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council security committee meeting and the ministerial meeting of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council economic and investment committee. Progress in various fields, including industry, infrastructure, technology, and food security, was noted as positive steps toward achieving common goals.

The Cabinet also discussed Saudi Arabia’s participation in recent G20 meetings, where efforts to promote sustainability in education, innovation, and entrepreneurship were highlighted. The Cabinet stressed the importance of a political resolution to the crisis in Sudan, urging parties to adhere to the Jeddah Declaration signed in 2023. Domestically, the Cabinet acknowledged the Kingdom’s significant advancement in international tourist revenue rankings, showcasing its leadership in the tourism sector.

In addition to approving Saudi Arabia’s accession to the cement and concrete breakthrough initiative, the Cabinet endorsed an MoU for political consultations between the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion between Saudi Arabia and Qatar was also approved. The Council authorized discussions for an MoU for cooperation in multiple indicator cluster surveys between the General Authority for Statistics and UNICEF Gulf area office in Saudi Arabia. Lastly, a MoU between the Saudi National Center for Meteorology and the World Meteorological Organization concerning their work in the field was also given the green light.

Overall, the Cabinet session highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to cooperation with international partners, promoting peace in the region, and advancing in various sectors, both domestically and globally. The approval of multiple agreements and MoUs signifies the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance collaboration with key stakeholders. With a focus on political resolutions, sustainable development, and supporting humanitarian efforts, Saudi Arabia continues to play a proactive role in addressing global challenges and promoting peace and stability.
