Riyadh Air and STA sign Memorandum of Understanding to improve visitor services in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh Air, owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) recently signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) at Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market. This partnership aims to facilitate travel to over 100 countries by 2030 and enhance the level of service provided to tourists through various initiatives. Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, expressed that Saudi Arabia, particularly the city of Riyadh, is fully prepared to welcome millions of new tourists. He emphasized the importance of collaborating with key players in the tourism sector, such as Riyadh Air, to provide the best services and experiences to every visitor. Hamidaddin also highlighted that Saudi Arabia is currently connected to over 180 destinations, with a goal to triple annual passenger traffic to 330 million by 2030.

Riyadh Air CEO, Tony Douglas, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership by stating, “The partnership embodies the commitment to improving the travel experience for Saudi Arabia’s guests and visitors.” He added, “We are working to raise work standards in the aviation sector to unprecedented levels.” The focus of the partnership will be on various key areas, including new routes and destinations, joint marketing activities, sponsorship opportunities, presence at key roadshows and international events, marketplace and accessibility to STOCH, engagement in the Tourism Accelerator Program, and cooperation in the development and design of tourism products.

The Saudi Tourism Authority’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, running from May 6 to 9 in Dubai, is considered one of the most important regional tourism forums. The event features a remarkable presence, with over 72 partners showcasing achievements and ambitions, empowering current partners, and establishing more strategic partnerships. The Saudi tourism system at the exhibition represents destinations, hotels, airlines, and tour operators, highlighting the sector’s achievements and ambitions. The partnership between Riyadh Air and STA signifies a significant step towards achieving Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a top global destination for tourists by 2030.

In conclusion, the memorandum of understanding signed between Riyadh Air and the Saudi Tourism Authority at Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market marks a crucial milestone in the efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector.
