The National Center of Meteorology (NMC) has issued a red alert for heavy rains in Jeddah, along with strong winds, hail, torrents, high waves, and thunderstorms on Monday. The Crisis and Disaster Management Center in the emirate of Makkah has advised motorists and beachgoers to take precautions, as the governorates in the region are expected to be affected by moderate to heavy thunderstorms, hail, dust storms, and high waves on Monday and Tuesday. The General Directorate of Civil Defense has also urged the public to exercise caution amid forecasts of thunderstorms in various regions of the Kingdom, asking people to stay in safe areas and to avoid valleys and flood-prone locations.

It is important to follow the guidelines shared on various social media platforms due to the expected thunderstorms in most regions of the Kingdom until Wednesday. The Makkah region is expected to experience torrential downpours, hail, and dust-stirring winds. Areas susceptible to heavy rains include Makkah City, Jeddah, Bahra, Al-Jumum, Rabigh, Kholais, and Al-Kamel, with moderate to heavy rainfall anticipated in Taif, Maysan, Al-Muwayh, Turbah, Al-Khurma, Rania, Al-Laith, and Al-Qunfudah in the region. With these weather conditions in mind, it is crucial for individuals to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

The red alert issued by the NMC highlights the severity of the upcoming weather conditions in Jeddah, emphasizing the need for preparedness and caution. The potential impacts of heavy rains, strong winds, hail, torrents, high waves, and thunderstorms can pose significant risks to public safety if proper measures are not taken. By heeding the advice of the Crisis and Disaster Management Center, motorists and beachgoers can minimize their exposure to danger and avoid potential hazards such as flood passages and waterlogged areas.

The guidance provided by the General Directorate of Civil Defense underscores the importance of staying vigilant and proactive in response to the forecasted thunderstorms across various regions of the Kingdom. By staying in safe areas and avoiding locations prone to flooding, individuals can reduce the likelihood of being caught in hazardous situations. Additionally, following the recommendations shared on social media platforms can help people stay informed about the evolving weather conditions and make informed decisions to protect themselves and their loved ones.

As the Kingdom braces for the impact of thunderstorms, it is crucial for residents to prioritize safety and preparedness. By staying informed about weather alerts and heeding the advice of authorities, individuals can effectively mitigate risks and ensure their well-being during extreme weather events. Taking proactive measures, such as avoiding flood-prone areas and following safety guidelines, can help minimize the potential impact of heavy rains, strong winds, hail, torrents, high waves, and thunderstorms in Jeddah and other regions of the Kingdom.

In conclusion, the red alert issued for heavy rains in Jeddah underscores the importance of remaining vigilant and prepared in the face of severe weather conditions. By following the guidance provided by the Crisis and Disaster Management Center, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, and other relevant authorities, individuals can enhance their safety and minimize the risks associated with thunderstorms. As the Kingdom experiences these extreme weather events, it is imperative for residents to prioritize safety, exercise caution, and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their communities.
