It was a momentous occasion in Kozhikode, India, as Sheikh Abdullah Al-Buaijan, the imam and khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque, delivered a speech at a peace conference with the theme “Islam is the religion of humanity and peace.” The esteemed Haram imam emphasized that Islam is a religion of security and peace, highlighting the importance of unity among Muslims. According to Sheikh Al-Buaijan, divisions among Muslims can threaten national unity, leading to chaos and potentially inciting wars. He pointed out that God has forbidden differences and disagreements, as they can be a cause of failure and weakness.

During the conference, Kerala’s Minister for Waqf and Hajj, V. Abdurahiman, commended Saudi Arabia for its significant efforts in promoting Islam, spreading peace, and fostering moderation. The event, organized by Kerala Nadvatul Mujahideen, attracted over 50,000 Muslims and was broadcast on multiple media platforms, reaching over four million views. The conference served as a platform for the Imam to lead the Maghrib and Isha prayers for the attendees, further emphasizing the importance of unity and peace within the Muslim community.

The message of unity and peace resonated with the audience, as Sheikh Abdullah Al-Buaijan urged Muslims to avoid divisions and disunity that can lead to chaos and conflict. He stressed that divisions within nations and civilizations can destroy the fabric of society and threaten its cohesion. By highlighting God’s prohibition of differences and disagreements, the Imam emphasized the importance of working together to avoid failure and weakness.
