Deputy Emir of Makkah and Deputy Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Saud bin Mishal recently met with several ministers and security force commanders to review the progress of work and services provided to pilgrims. The meeting took place at the emirates’ office in Mina, where plans for the upcoming days of Tashreeq were discussed. The officials in attendance included Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, and Commander of the Hajj Security Forces Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami. Also present were Acting Director General of Civil Defense Maj. Gen. Dr. Hamoud Al-Faraj and other security force commanders.

During the meeting, Prince Saud was briefed on the work of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, which focuses on implementing preventive measures and safety initiatives for pilgrims. The aim is to enhance safety awareness among pilgrims and ensure smooth operational aspects. Additionally, Commander of the Security Forces for Facilities Maj. Gen. Abdullah Al-Otaibi provided an overview of the role of security forces at the Mashaer Train stations. Their efforts are directed towards organizing pedestrian movement and efficiently managing crowds to maintain order and safety.

The preparations for the days of Tashreeq (Dhul Hijjah 11-13, corresponding to June 17-19) are a crucial part of the Kingdom’s annual Hajj operation.
