Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy, recently attended the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. During his talks with Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, Al-Jubeir emphasized Saudi Arabia’s climate change initiatives. He also met with Ibrahim Thiaw, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, to focus on joint cooperation in addressing desertification and climate challenges globally.
