The Roads General Authority (RGA) along with Roads Security has announced the temporary closure of Al-Hada Road in Taif governorate for maintenance work starting from January 1, 2025. This maintenance work is expected to last for two months as part of the RGA’s efforts to improve road quality, enhance safety standards, and ensure smoother traffic flow. This aligns with the goals of the Roads Sector Strategy, focusing on safety, quality, and efficient traffic management.

During this maintenance period, road users are advised to use alternative routes such as the Alsail Alkabeer Road to avoid any disruptions in their travel plans. The RGA is committed to upgrading the road network to meet the increasing demand for safe and efficient transportation. Key objectives of the Roads Sector Strategy include achieving a global ranking in the Road Quality Index by 2030, reducing road fatalities to fewer than 5 per 100,000 people, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of the road network with safety measures in line with the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP).

The RGA’s ongoing projects and initiatives aim to provide high-quality, safe road infrastructure to meet the needs of both residents and visitors. By implementing vital maintenance work and ensuring adherence to safety standards, the RGA is working towards creating a reliable and efficient road network. This temporary closure of Al-Hada Road is just one of the many steps taken by the RGA to enhance road quality and improve overall traffic management in the region.

The closure of Al-Hada Road for maintenance work underscores the RGA’s dedication to enhancing road safety and quality. By advising road users to utilize alternative routes during this period, the RGA is ensuring uninterrupted travel for residents and visitors. This maintenance work is in line with the broader objectives of the Roads Sector Strategy, focusing on achieving global standards in road quality, reducing fatalities, and enhancing safety measures across the road network.

As the RGA continues to implement crucial projects and initiatives, the focus remains on providing safe and efficient transportation options for all. With a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community, the RGA strives to create a road network that not only meets safety standards but also ensures a smooth traffic flow. Through strategic planning and continuous maintenance efforts, the RGA aims to establish a world-class road infrastructure that benefits all road users in the region.
