This includes the development of roads, rail networks, and public transport systems to accommodate the influx of visitors. The country’s transport network is also being developed with a focus on sustainability, prioritizing electric trains and buses, as well as safe walking and cycling routes.
The land transport planning sector sets the general planning policy for land and railway transport activities in Qatar. This includes preparing necessary studies and design plans, coordinating with relevant authorities, and identifying licensing requirements and fees for land and railway transport activities. The Ministry is also working on implementing the National Strategy for the Logistics Sector 2024-2030 to consolidate Qatar’s position as a global logistics hub and support economic diversification.
