The Ministry of Labour recently organized a training session in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QACPA) to enhance the skills of local accounting cadres. The aim was to prepare Qatari job seekers, including graduates specialized in accounting, for roles in the private sector workforce. The training courses focused on internal audit and controlling tenders and financial contracts, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 to establish a highly skilled Qatari talent pool capable of working in private sector companies and institutions.
Participants in the internal audit training were provided with an overview of the fundamentals and standards of internal audit and financial auditing. They were also trained on new tools and techniques for conducting internal analysis, audits, and budget auditing, as well as managing risks and achieving financial sustainability. The Tenders and Financial Contracts Control Course familiarized attendees with the administrative, technical, financial, and legal aspects of tenders, accounting contracts, and financial control. Additionally, participants were trained on auditing tender documents, monitoring financial contracts, and aligning tender prices with the financial plan of the institution or company, in accordance with laws regulating public and private sector contracts in Qatar.
