The Finance Minister of Qatar meets with the President of Uzbekistan

The Minister of Finance, HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, recently met with the President of Uzbekistan, HE Dr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Samarkand. The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan in the economic and trade sectors, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, HE Al Kuwari also had a meeting with Indian Minister of Finance, HE Nirmala Sitharaman, to discuss economic and trade relations between Qatar and India, and to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Furthermore, HE Al Kuwari participated in the opening session of the 9th Annual Meeting of the AIIB Board of Governors, where discussions and activities were held to identify strategies and best practices for developing resilient infrastructure and driving positive impact on a global scale. The meeting agenda included various sessions to explore opportunities for infrastructure development and enhancing cooperation among member countries. This underscores the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable development goals and promoting economic growth.
