The Safety and Security Operations Committee (SSOC) of the Ministry of Interior at Milipol Qatar attracted a large number of visitors with its latest security and safety equipment, including drones, during the 15th edition of the global event for internal security and safety. First Lieutenant Hamad Ahmed Al Romaihi highlighted the showcase of new patrolling vehicles equipped with advanced technologies at the event held at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from October 29 to 31.
Al Romaihi mentioned that the SSOC pavilion featured a dedicated corner for simulating operations related to major events like the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, Formula 1, and Paris 2024 Olympics Games, along with various local events. Over the past 12 years since its establishment in 2012, the SSOC has successfully provided safety and security for over 100 events. The participation at 15th Milipol Qatar was aimed at showcasing their accomplishments in securing mega events.
The SSOC pavilion displayed its latest devices and equipment such as drone systems, anti-drone systems, and other security systems used to ensure event safety and security. Al Romaihi mentioned that the pavilion received a large number of visitors who were briefed about the operations and equipment, offering them a closer look at event safety equipment and operations. The SSOC is dedicated to using the best devices and technologies available in the market to facilitate their mission of providing high safety and security to events.
At the event, Al Romaihi emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of security and safety by upgrading security systems and training security officials and personnel. The SSOC continually strives to find the best solutions to overcome challenges in ensuring safety and security. Al Romaihi expressed pride in the achievements of the SSOC in successfully providing high safety and security to all events they are assigned to cover, reflecting their commitment to excellence in the field.
