Shura Council leads meeting of Gulf-European Parliamentary Committee team

The Shura Council recently chaired the first meeting of the Gulf-European Parliamentary Committee, which was held virtually by the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The committee aims to enhance parliamentary cooperation between GCC countries and the European Parliament. Member of the Shura Council, H E Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al Subaie, represented the council at the meeting. During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including health, water and food security, energy transitions, human rights, and tourism, as well as cooperation in combatting pandemics and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

One of the key focuses of the Gulf-European Parliamentary Committee is to strengthen relations between the GCC countries and the European Parliament.
