HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, recently visited the First Assalam School in Doha, Qatar. During her visit, she was updated on the efforts of EAA’s “Together Project,” which aims to provide quality education and training to Palestinian children and youth affected by the war in Gaza. Her Highness had the opportunity to tour educational facilities, meet with students, and observe an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the Al Fakhoora program.

The exhibition highlighted various initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting Palestinian families living in Qatar. It featured home projects such as embroidery and cooking skills, as well as success stories of Al Fakhoora graduates who have found employment in the local labor market. Additionally, the efforts of the First Assalam School in collaboration with the Al Fakhoora program in vocational and entrepreneurship training were showcased.

Accompanying HH Sheikha Moza was HE Rosangela Lula da Silva, the First Lady of the Federative Republic of Brazil. She was in Qatar to participate in an event organized by the EAA in commemoration of the International Day to Protect Education from Attack. The event, scheduled to take place at the Qatar National Convention Centre, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding education in conflict zones.

The visit to the First Assalam School served as an opportunity for HH Sheikha Moza and HE Rosangela Lula da Silva to witness firsthand the impact of EAA’s initiatives in providing educational opportunities for marginalized youth. Through programs like the Al Fakhoora program, EAA is working towards ensuring that Palestinian children and youth have access to quality education and training despite the challenges they face due to conflict in their home countries.

The support provided by EAA to Palestinian families living in Qatar is evident through the various projects and training programs offered. By showcasing success stories of Al Fakhoora graduates who have successfully integrated into the local labor market, the exhibition highlighted the positive outcomes of EAA’s efforts in empowering marginalized communities.

Overall, the visit to the First Assalam School underscored the commitment of HH Sheikha Moza and the EAA Foundation to promoting education as a tool for empowerment and social change. By providing opportunities for marginalized youth to access quality education and training, EAA is contributing towards building a more inclusive and equitable society, both in Qatar and in conflict-affected regions around the world.
