The Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Quran Competition has been recognized for its outstanding efforts globally by being awarded the shield of Croatia’s international Quran competition during the closing ceremony of the European International Competition for Memorization and Recitation of the Holy Quran in Zagreb. With 41 countries participating from all over the world, the event was organized by the General Secretariat of the European-international competition and supervised by the secretary-general of the European International Competition, Khaled Yassin. This honor confirms the competition’s dedication to supporting Quran competitions abroad and promoting the teaching of the Holy Quran worldwide.

The ceremony was attended by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Khalid bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, as well as chairperson Malallah Abdulrahman Al Jaber, and other members of the organizing committee. The competition has been instrumental in supporting international Quran competitions by providing financial support totaling QR1.6 million to events such as the Republic of Russia’s competition for the Holy Quran and the Quran competition in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These efforts have encouraged participants to engage with the text of the Holy Quran and enhance their memorization skills, while fostering cultural relationships and promoting tolerance and mercy.

The competition has played a significant role in advancing the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran globally, with a focus on promoting values of tolerance and mercy. The financial support provided by the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Quran Competition has helped to facilitate international Quran competitions and strengthen cultural relationships among nations.
