The Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, or S’hail 2024, is currently attracting hunting and falconry enthusiasts from Qatar and around the world in its eighth edition. This event has become a prominent fixture in the Gulf and Middle East, offering a unique experience in hunting and falconry. With 171 companies from 19 countries participating, including Poland, China, and Australia for the first time, visitors can explore the latest innovations in hunting and camping equipment, falcon breeding farms, falconry tools, and hunting weapons and vehicles. The exhibition aims to encourage technological advancements and continuous development in hunting and falconry, catering to the growing interest in these activities.

The organizing committee behind S’hail 2024 is dedicated to expanding participation to include new countries and companies, fostering competition between local and international firms and providing a wide range of options for falconry enthusiasts. By attracting both local and international companies, the exhibition plays a vital role in supporting the local economy, creating job opportunities, and boosting commercial activity in Qatar. Additionally, the event serves as a platform for local traders and manufacturers to showcase their products and services, promoting Qatari products on a global stage. Through initiatives like raffles for children aged 10 to 16, the exhibition aims to instill the heritage of falconry in the younger generation, encouraging them to connect with their cultural traditions.

In addition to the focus on hunting and falconry, S’hail 2024 also emphasizes environmental sustainability. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is participating in the exhibition to educate visitors about its services, particularly those related to natural reserves and wildlife. The ministry’s pavilion highlights hunting regulations and digital services while explaining the production and breeding of the Houbara bird. Furthermore, several bird breeding centers and reserves, such as the Al Bidaa Research Center for Houbara and Bird Breeding and the Northern Reserve for Sustainable Hunting from Saudi Arabia, are taking part in the exhibition. This commitment to environmental awareness underscores the importance of conservation in the hunting and falconry industries.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the participation of international dignitaries, officials, and ambassadors, showcasing the global interest in hunting and falconry. The large number of visitors and diverse international participation demonstrate the significant interest that Qataris have in hunting and eco-tourism. For example, the Northern Reserve for Sustainable Hunting covers an impressive 2,000 square kilometers and offers activities like falconry and hunting with firearms, following the necessary permit procedures. This participation not only enriches the exhibition experience but also highlights the importance of conservation efforts and sustainable practices in the field of hunting and falconry.

Overall, the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, S’hail 2024, remains a must-visit event for hunting and falconry enthusiasts looking to explore the latest technologies and innovations in the industry. As a leading event in the Gulf and Middle East, the exhibition offers a unique platform for local and international companies to showcase their products and services while promoting cultural heritage and environmental sustainability. By fostering competition, encouraging technological advancements, and educating the public on hunting regulations, S’hail 2024 plays a crucial role in driving the continued development and awareness of hunting and falconry in the region. With its blend of tradition, innovation, and conservation, this exhibition continues to captivate audiences and promote the rich heritage of hunting and falconry in Qatar and beyond.
