The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, recently met with the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, HE Okano Masataka, in Tokyo. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and review the cooperation relations between Qatar and Japan, with a focus on ways to support and further develop them. The two officials also discussed a number of topics of common interest, highlighting the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, HE Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, was also present at the meeting, along with an accompanying delegation.
