Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a part of Qatar Foundation, has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Retaj Group, a prominent private sector institution. The aim of the partnership is to collaborate in training and empowering students, youth, and professionals across Qatar. The MoU was signed by Abdulla A Al Mansoori, Director of QCDC, and Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Retaj Group, at a ceremony held at Retaj Alrayyan hotel in Doha.

The agreement between QCDC and Retaj Group outlines the cooperation to highlight various career paths and opportunities in the real estate, hospitality, and tourism sectors. It also includes providing continuous career guidance and development support and services. Al Mansoori emphasized the importance of the private sector in establishing a career culture in the country. He mentioned that this collaboration reaffirms the commitment of QCDC and Retaj Group to provide the best training and educational opportunities for the youth of Qatar.

Al Mansoori also stated that partnering with private sector institutions like Retaj Group is crucial for human capital development. The private sector not only plays an essential economic role but also serves as a source of expertise and knowledge that the youth can benefit from. Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani expressed his pleasure in signing the MoU with QCDC, stating that Retaj Group aims to enhance its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) role and play a more significant part in training students through practical programmes in sectors such as hospitality and real estate.

The MoU between QCDC and Retaj Group includes providing job shadowing opportunities for students and youth enrolled in QCDC’s programmes such as “Little Employee” and “My Career – My Future.” Participants will have the chance to explore and experience career paths in real estate, tourism, and hospitality. This will enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue careers in these sectors. Additionally, QCDC will offer comprehensive access to the Al Dileela career advising programme.

This partnership between QCDC and Retaj Group is significant for the youth and professionals in Qatar as it will provide them with valuable training and guidance in various sectors such as real estate, hospitality, and tourism. It highlights the commitment of both organizations to promote career development and empower the youth by offering them practical programmes and job shadowing opportunities. Overall, this collaboration will contribute to the overall development of human capital in Qatar and foster economic diversity in the national economy.

In conclusion, the memorandum of understanding signed between QCDC and Retaj Group paves the way for a fruitful collaboration in training and empowering students, youth, and professionals in Qatar. By highlighting career paths and opportunities in sectors like real estate, hospitality, and tourism, the partnership aims to provide valuable training and guidance to the youth of Qatar. This collaboration underscores the importance of the private sector in fostering economic diversity and human capital development in the country. With job shadowing opportunities and access to career advising programmes, this agreement will benefit the participants in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue successful careers in their chosen fields.
