Qatari inventor recognized at the 3rd Model Arab Youth Parliament

Qatar is proudly participating in the 2024 model Arab Youth Parliament in Cairo, Egypt. The event, held under the theme “Towards Sustainable Community Participation,” is hosting 100 young men and women from 15 Arab countries. The permanent mission of Qatar to the Arab League, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is representing Qatar at the event. The activities of the model 2024 Arab Youth Parliament include the honoring of Qatari inventor Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis for his invention ‘Sajdah’, a smart education prayer rug designed to teach new Muslims and children how to pray correctly.

The main focus of the model Arab Youth Parliament is on political, economic, and social pillars. The aim is to raise awareness among Arab youth about common challenges faced by Arab states, and how to address them. The event also aims to enhance awareness mechanisms related to youth parliamentary diplomacy, and to groom future Arab youth leaders who can carry forward the Arab League’s experience.
