The meeting between the French President’s Special Envoy to Lebanon and Ambassadors of the Quintet Committee on Lebanon was attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The meeting, which took place at the Pine Palace and was organized by French Ambassador to Lebanon Herve Magro, focused on discussions regarding the current situation in Lebanon, the ongoing war in the south, and the issue of the presidential vacuum.

H E Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French President’s Special Envoy to Lebanon, led the meeting where important topics such as the political and security situation in Lebanon were discussed. The meeting also touched upon the ongoing conflict in the southern region of the country. Ambassador Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, representing the State of Qatar, actively participated in the discussions and shared perspectives on how to address the current challenges facing Lebanon.

The Ambassador of Qatar emphasized the importance of finding a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflicts in Lebanon and stressed the need for a stable and inclusive government to address the country’s political and economic issues. The meeting also addressed the issue of the presidential vacuum in Lebanon and discussed potential strategies for resolving this matter in a timely and effective manner. The participation of the Ambassadors of the Quintet Committee on Lebanon highlighted the international community’s continued support for Lebanon’s stability and development.

The meeting at the Pine Palace provided a platform for the Ambassadors to exchange views and ideas on ways to support Lebanon in its efforts to overcome the current challenges. The discussions focused on the importance of promoting dialogue and cooperation among different political factions in order to achieve national unity and reconciliation. Ambassador Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability.
