Qatari Ambassador emphasizes Doha’s actions to ease the suffering of Palestinians

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the UK, H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, highlighted the efforts made by Qatar to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and end the violence in the region. Since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, Qatar has been actively working to establish a crisis room and communicate with relevant regional and international parties. These efforts have led to the successful release of dozens of hostages and prisoners. The roundtable organized by the Qatar Embassy in the UK focused on Qatar’s mediation and conflict resolution roles, especially in light of the challenges posed by conflicts in the Middle East.

The joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip have faced numerous challenges, including reaching a permanent ceasefire deal, protecting civilians, increasing humanitarian aid to Palestinians, and releasing prisoners and detainees to prevent regional escalation. Despite these challenges, there is hope that Qatar will resume its role in de-escalating conflicts and finding solutions to crises in the Middle East. The roundtable attended by senior parliamentarians and international affairs experts discussed Qatar’s efforts to boost regional and international stability through its mediation and conflict resolution initiatives.

The State of Qatar is actively engaged in efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and bring an end to the cycle of violence in the region. Qatar has been instrumental in establishing a crisis room and communicating with relevant parties to facilitate the release of hostages and prisoners in Gaza. The roundtable organized by the Qatar Embassy in the UK highlighted Qatar’s leading role in mediation and conflict resolution, particularly in the face of escalating conflicts in the Middle East.

Despite the challenges faced in reaching a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, Qatar remains committed to protecting civilians, increasing humanitarian aid, and securing the release of prisoners and detainees to prevent further escalation in the region.
