During the meeting, H E Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi highlighted the importance of strengthening diplomatic relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Council of Ministers of the Nordic countries. He emphasized the need for increased cooperation on various issues of mutual interest, such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. The Ambassadors and Representatives of the GCC countries also discussed the current political and economic situation in the Gulf region and explored ways to enhance collaboration with Sweden.

H E Nadia bint Ahmed Al Shaibi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sweden, reiterated Qatar’s commitment to fostering strong ties with the Nordic countries and the GCC. She emphasized the importance of maintaining open communication channels and promoting dialogue to address common challenges and opportunities. The meeting served as a platform for the Ambassadors and Representatives to exchange views and explore potential areas for cooperation in areas such as education, energy, and innovation.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the Ambassadors and Representatives to discuss the ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the Gulf region. H E Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi emphasized the GCC’s commitment to resolving conflicts through peaceful means and dialogue. The participants reaffirmed their support for regional integration and cooperation, as well as their commitment to upholding international law and human rights principles.

The discussions also touched upon the importance of leveraging the strategic geographical location of both the Gulf and Nordic regions to enhance trade and economic relations. The Ambassadors and Representatives recognized the potential for increasing bilateral trade and investment flows between the two regions and explored ways to facilitate business opportunities for companies from both sides. They also discussed the importance of promoting tourism and cultural exchanges to strengthen people-to-people ties.

In conclusion, the meeting between the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Ambassadors and Representatives of the GCC countries to Sweden served as a valuable platform for enhancing diplomatic relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration. The participants emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges and promote peace and stability in the Gulf region.
