H E Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, participated in a crucial session on “Sustainable Trade and Entrepreneurship: Pathways to Re-Globalization” at the WTO headquarters in Geneva. By supporting global efforts to curb harmful fishing subsidies, Qatar is reaffirming the vital role of the WTO in delivering global public goods. Dr. Al Muftah expressed hope that Qatar’s leadership in this area would inspire other WTO members to follow suit, strengthening collective efforts for marine sustainability and the livelihoods that depend on it.
Dr. Al Muftah also referenced a summit held under the patronage of H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with Unesco.
