Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater expressed that the collaboration reflects the deep strategic relations and solid cooperation between Qatar and the UK, showcasing their shared commitment to addressing the humanitarian repercussions of conflicts and wars.

Qatar has been actively involved in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza since the beginning of the war. This includes initiatives such as treating wounded Palestinians in Doha, sponsoring 3,000 orphans affected by the conflict, and providing ongoing humanitarian aid to the region. The partnership with the UK will initially focus on working with 50 doctors and health practitioners currently treating injured Palestinians in Doha. International experts and the latest technologies, including virtual reality, will be utilized to simulate mass casualty scenarios and exchange best practices in the field.

In addition to medical care, the partnership also aims to assess the mental health needs of Palestinian evacuees in Qatar. This will lead to the development of a psychological and social support program to address the unique challenges faced by those affected by the conflict. The collaboration between Qatar and the UK underscores their commitment to providing comprehensive care for individuals impacted by the Gaza War.
