Qatar Airways has launched daily non-stop flights from Hamad International Airport in Doha to Hamburg Airport in Germany, meeting the increasing demand for travel between the two regions. Hamburg is now the fifth destination in Germany to be served by Qatar Airways, joining Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Munich. The airline saw a significant 62% growth in outbound passengers from Germany in 2023, underscoring the importance of this new route.

This new connection not only makes Hamburg more accessible for travelers from around the world, but also strengthens economic and trade relations between northern Germany, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The flights are expected to boost Hamburg’s cargo sector by up to 11% compared to last year. The first flight was welcomed by various dignitaries, including the First Mayor of Hamburg, the Charge de Affair of the Embassy of Qatar, and the CEO of Visit Qatar.

Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, highlighted the importance of this new route in reinforcing economic and trade ties between Qatar and Germany. With its hub in Doha, Qatar Airways is well positioned to facilitate exports between East and West, supporting the growth of this route in the future. The First Mayor of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, emphasized the significance of good flight connections for the economy, science, and culture of the city.

As the World’s Best Airline, Qatar Airways is committed to providing passengers with exceptional service and in-flight experiences. The new route between Doha and Hamburg offers travelers from northern Germany access to one of the most modern and comfortable aircraft choices in the world. Visit Qatar CEO, Eng. Abdulaziz Ali AL Mawlawi, noted that the expansion will enhance Qatar’s global connectivity and establish the country as a leading tourist destination.

Hamburg Airport CEO, Christian Kunsch, welcomed Qatar Airways to the airport, highlighting the increased connectivity between Hamburg and the rest of the world. The direct connection to Doha strengthens Hamburg’s links to global trade and enhances the city’s attractiveness for investors, tourists, and international events. With its central location, Hamad International Airport serves as an ideal connecting point for long-distance travel from Germany.

The flight schedule to Hamburg includes daily flights from Doha to Hamburg on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while flights from Hamburg to Doha operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The convenient schedule and seamless travel experience provided by Qatar Airways make it a popular choice for travelers looking to explore destinations such as the Maldives, Singapore, Bangkok, and more. Overall, the new route between Doha and Hamburg is set to strengthen ties between the two regions and enhance travel options for passengers.
