The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has ensured that all public schools have undergone full maintenance, including air conditioning, security, safety, and electrical systems. School canteens will be following nutrition standards for school meals, and there will be 2,353 school buses along with 160 vehicles for students with special needs to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
The Private Education Affairs Sector is also gearing up to welcome 241,332 students, including 48,319 Qatari students. Thirteen new private schools and kindergartens have been licensed to open this year, with four school premises functioning as branches of existing educational institutions. The number of private schools participating in the educational voucher system has reached 134, with eight new schools joining this year. The number of Qatari students benefiting from the educational voucher system has reached 31,572.
