Prime Minister attends graduation ceremony for Shafallah Center’s class of 2024

The graduation ceremony of the 2024 batch of members of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities in Doha, Qatar was attended by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was also graced by various ministers, senior officials, and the parents of the graduates. A total of 43 graduates were honored by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, who handed them their graduation certificates. A special ‘Endless Love’ sculpture was inaugurated on this occasion by Qatar Museums, donated as a tribute to HH Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.

The graduates of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities received specialized educational and rehabilitation services of the highest international standards. The main objective of these services is to enhance the personal capabilities of the individuals, improve their skills, and facilitate their integration into society. The center aims to provide exemplary services to persons with mental disabilities and autism who are not older than 21 years of age. Established in 1999 by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Shafallah Center focuses on special education, rehabilitation, and raising community awareness about the issues and rights of individuals with disabilities.

Under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities operates as one of the centers affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family. The center plays a crucial role in promoting inclusivity and a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities. By offering tailored educational and rehabilitation programs, the center aims to empower individuals with disabilities and equip them with the necessary skills to lead fulfilling lives as active members of society.
