The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Doha, Qatar is set to host the National Robotics Olympiad (NRO) from October 7 to 9, 2024. This competition aims to enhance students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills related to robotics and artificial intelligence. Over 150 teams from 100 public schools will participate in the event, which will be held at Aspire Hall from 9am to 4pm.

The NRO includes various championship competitions such as Robo Mission, Robo Sport, and Future Innovators, offering students a unique opportunity to develop their design, logical thinking, and robot programming skills. The competition also promotes teamwork, creativity, and innovation, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and learn from their peers. This year’s theme, “Earth Allies,” focuses on sustainable development in line with Qatar’s Vision 2030.

Through the NRO, students will work on developing environmentally friendly technologies using educational robotics, allowing them to find innovative solutions that contribute to sustainability. The Information Technology Department of the Educational Guidance Administration will oversee the organization of the competition and nominate the winning teams to participate in the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO). This initiative not only fosters a spirit of competition among students but also promotes collaboration and excellence in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence.

The NRO is open to all students from public boys’ and girls’ schools, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and talents. By participating in the competition, students will have the opportunity to enhance their problem-solving abilities and develop their technical skills in robotics and artificial intelligence. The event encourages students to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to real-world challenges, helping them prepare for future careers in STEM fields.

With a focus on promoting sustainable development and innovation, the NRO aims to empower students to become future leaders in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. By encouraging students to work on environmentally friendly technologies, the competition helps them become more aware of global challenges and the importance of finding sustainable solutions. Through their participation in the NRO, students will have the opportunity to contribute to Qatar’s Vision 2030 and make a positive impact on their communities.

Overall, the National Robotics Olympiad in Doha, Qatar, is an excellent platform for students to showcase their talents, develop their skills, and foster a spirit of innovation and creativity. By participating in this competition, students will not only enhance their technical abilities but also gain valuable experience in teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The NRO serves as a stepping stone for students to pursue careers in STEM fields and make a meaningful impact on society through their knowledge and skills in robotics and artificial intelligence.
