Msheireb Museums in Doha, Qatar is utilizing the latest technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance experiences for visitors, residents, and businesses. The General Manager, Abdulla Al Naama, emphasized the importance of technology in the museums’ operations, stating that it is crucial in telling the museum’s stories as they aim to be a narrative museum rather than a collection-based one. Al Naama highlighted that technology helps in research and development, ensuring that each visit offers something new and engaging for visitors.

The museums, consisting of four historic houses – Biin Jelmood, Company, Radwani, and Mohammed Bin Jassim, offer a glimpse into Qatar’s past and heritage. Radwani House showcases a typical Qatari family life, while Bin Jelmood House focuses on the contributions of individuals impacted by slavery. Company House tells the story of Qatar’s first oil company and the development of modern civilization. Mohammed Bin Jassim House conveys stories from Qatar’s past, present, and sustainable future.

Dr. Hafiz Ali Abdulla, Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Msheireb Properties, highlighted the importance of leveraging advanced technology to improve various aspects of the city. The partnership with Microsoft aims to explore the use of new technology and AI to enhance customer, resident, and commercial experiences. The collaboration with Microsoft is part of the Smart Experience Project, which aims to revolutionize urban interactions in Msheireb Downtown Doha by incorporating innovative solutions to enhance daily life in the area.
