The Ministry of Transport (MoT) in Doha, Qatar has signed an agreement with Qatar Post to provide a unique package of postal services to beneficiaries of the ministry’s land and maritime transportation digital services. With the aim of providing efficient and reliable postal solutions, Qatar Post will offer postal room and network services, as well as delivery services for senior customers. The agreement, signed by Advisor to the Minister of Transport Hassan Hassan Al Hail and Qatar Post’s Chief Operating Officer Hamad Mohammed Al Fahida, is set to promote the ministry’s digital services system. It will create an environment that facilitates easy access to MoT-related services for the public, ultimately leading to higher customer satisfaction. In the second quarter of this year, MoT conducted a total of 2,971 transactions through its Land Transport Sector, marking a significant increase of 78.76% compared to the same period last year. These transactions included land transport licensing, road affairs, and land transport planning services. Some of the main services offered by the land transport sector include road defects detection, safety measures on roads, directional signs, building permit requests, traffic impact studies, and approval of land transport network planning cases. The collaboration between MoT and Qatar Post is expected to further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these services for beneficiaries.
