The Joint Committee for Rain Emergencies at the Ministry of Municipality in Doha, Qatar recently sprang into action to tackle waterlogging issues caused by heavy rainfall in the country. The rain emergency teams worked tirelessly for 27 hours straight, from 1pm on Friday until 4pm the following day, to address the situation. Their efforts resulted in the transfer and drainage of over 29 million gallons of rainwater, with a total of 4,200 loads being moved. The teams consisted of 340 employees and workers, utilizing 270 pieces of equipment, machinery, and pumps to effectively manage the waterlogging crisis.
