The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Doha, Qatar recently inaugurated an educational exhibition on the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The exhibition, which will run for two weeks at the headquarters of the women’s activities division in Al Waab area, aims to increase awareness of the importance of the Prophet’s teachings and his position in Islamic legislation. Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, participated in the launch of the event.
The exhibition features a variety of educational materials including pictures, illustrative tools, maps, and hadiths of the Prophet that offer advice for individuals and society. The goal is to educate visitors about the Prophet’s biography, motivate young people to memorize his teachings, and encourage them to follow his Sunnah. Director of the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, Malallah Abdul Rahman Al Jaber, emphasized the importance of glorifying the Prophet and defending his teachings during the exhibition.
In addition to the exhibition, an educational and advocacy campaign will be launched, running until November 5. This campaign will include events, competitions, and seminars aimed at introducing the Prophetic Sunnah to a wider audience. The ultimate objective is to instill love for the Prophet, clarify the authority of his teachings in Islamic legislation, emphasize the importance of following his Sunnah, and promote the preservation and dissemination of his teachings.
